A student committed suicide tonight, jumping from one of the dorm buildings. [link]  It all feels very distant and unbelievable, but so close and real and scary all the at the same time, and then seeing the community come together — the beautiful, encouraging words… I can’t fathom the thoughts and pain this person was going through. I’m not going to say anything like, you can get through finals everyone! or there’s more out there than finals! because we can’t assume it was simply because of finals.

Let’s be there for each other. Talk to each other. Give that small but wonderful gift of a smile or a hug. Maybe that little, “hey, how you’re doing” can make all the difference in a person’s day.

Before I bid you all good night, know that you’re all lovely. ♥ You matter. There is someone out there who wants to hear your voice and will listen.

• part 1 with the sound clips was fun, but also nerve-racking a way
• FOOD!
• part 2 was a lot of fun! Wallace used two of my metaphors, the ones he noted he liked. :D
• Walking back with Wallace. Just, wow, I was overwhelmed. To be complimented by someone whom you so greatly admire and look up to. I can’t ever imagine being as intelligent or worldly and thoughtful as he is, but he told me that I’m really intelligent and know how to read literature deeply.
• CL190 essay is 90% done, just needs another look over, though at this point it all looks like a blur and idek anymore if there’s BS floating in there lol.
• I fell asleep at one point at TapEx while working on the last paragraph and conclusion. XDDDD
• WAFFLE WITH BANANA AND HONEY ♥　yeah, my housemate Maria and I had a very healthy dinner. xD
